ABOUT
The inaugural Summer50 Fest will provide parents, teens, and youth opportunities to learn about and connect with youth programs, educational initiatives, education-based athletics, and jobs/internships available throughout the summer and beyond. Key city stakeholders and agencies, corporate and civic partners, educational institutions, and community-based organizations will be invited to host a booth/activation where they can highlight their programs and enroll families and teens on the spot.
The Fest will feature on-site job applications and placement for teens, job readiness stations, summer programming enrollment, athletic opportunities PLUS engaging and fun clinics, pop-up events hosted by corporate partners, raffles, personal appearances, a DJ and more.
Summer50 Fest will foster community resiliency, connecting citizens to stakeholders in ways to improve social impacts and bridge gaps to the future. Families will leave with a plan for the summer and the resources they need to ensure they can take advantage of opportunities across the city.Wards365 will work with civic, community, and faith-based partners to identify 2000 need-based families across 50 wards along with an open invitation to the general public to participate.
